APRIL 05 - CAVITY VERSATILITY

Z-Led's new Multi-Crease systemEasier installation of cavity and lintel trays for protection against water and radon ingress is achievable using Z-Led's new Multi-Crease system.

The versatile system is created from a polypropylene cavity tray, formed with a series of integral continuous creases, enabling easy folding to suit installation requirements whilst ensuring both radon protection and damp proofing. Simply by following the crease numbers, builders can use Z-Led Multi-Crease as a cavity tray over most proprietary lintels, to form a continuous cavity tray at ground level or in parapets, or to create a cavity barrier in radon affected areas. The system is simply cut to the required length, reducing the need for on-site jointing, folded as necessary, and mortared into position. A range of stop ends, corners and step units complete the tray.

Self-supporting and complying with BS5628:Part 3 2001, Multi-Crease can be used in cavities from 50-100mm over lintels without need to incorporate the system into the building inner leaf. A non-slip textured spark finish on one side of the tray aids mortar adhesion, and a 40mm wide adhesion flange provides a positive fixing point for membranes in radon applications.

Supplied in 25m rolls with four creases as standard, Multi-Crease can be manufactured in a variety of widths up to 680mm with a maximum of six creases.
